Research findings from recently completed projects and new videos and podcasts now on the website.

Further NRP 73 projects have completed their research. The results of the completed projects can now be found on the website in summaries, research articles, videos and podcasts.

The recently completed “Interaction of economy and ecology in Swiss farms” project investigated the environmental and economic efficiency of Swiss agriculture. The “Digital innovations for sustainable agriculture” project highlights the benefits and opportunities of digital precision technologies. In a video interview Prof. Robert Finger explains what needs to be done to increase the use of these technologies.

A new video on the sustainable circular economy, featuring representatives of real-world partners V-ZUG AG, Eberhard Unternehmungen and Swisspor AG, explains the latest research and real-world findings from the “Laboratory for circular economy” project led by Prof. Karolin Frankenberger and the “Towards a sustainable circular economy” project led by Prof. Volker Hoffmann. The results of all the circular economy projects were used to draw up a policy and CEO brief setting out recommendations for government and CEOs.

The “Ecosystem services in forests” project has developed decision-making aids for forest managers and owners that will protect Swiss forests by safeguarding their sustainable development.

A simulation highlights routes towards post-fossil cities, while a new podcast discusses ways of decarbonising public transport.

The subject of the circular economy in the construction sector was discussed with Prof. Philippe Thalmann of EPFL, Swiss Prime Site CEO René Zahnd, and Patric van der Haegen of Eberhard Unternehmungen at the Swiss Sustainability Forum Business Day in September. The following NRP 73 podcasts provide further information on the circular economy in the construction sector:
